Glyph Fun and Learning Letter Sounds

Dr. Suess week was awesome in 4-K!  My wee ones made their glyphs and they turned out great!  They couldn't wait to get their parents in the next morning to show them what they'd made.  They were so proud!

We also graphed our favorite Dr. Seuss books.  It was a large time!

Here's a great idea for using Jack Hartmann's "Learning Letter Sounds," which can be found on his "Shake, Rattle, and Read" and "I've Got the Music In Me" cds.  I found the idea on a school district website for balanced literacy.  You can check it out by clicking here.  They have lots of great ideas, plus you can download the graphics to make your own chart to go along with the song.  Here's mine:

Have fun!
